Soybean Variety Selection Tool

For those of you that were not aware the Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board has a website www.mssoy.org that offers up to date information on current issues, research efforts in agronomics, weed and insect control as well as blogs from various specialists. Another unique and useful tool on this website is the variety selection tool. This program accesses the MSU variety trial data and allows the user to compare results of selected varieties across years, location, maturity groups, soil types and many more.

To get started go to www.mssoy.org and click on the Variety trials link (Picture 1).

From there you will be taken to a page which offers you several search options (Picture 2).

If an advanced search is needed double click on the Advanced Search bar to see additional options (Picture 3).

Once you have entered your desired search parameters click on the Go Search button and a spreadsheet will appear matching your criteria (Picture 4). From here you can scroll through the results or export the file to an Excel spread sheet.
