Pheromone Trap Counts, May 24, 2013

Here is the first weekly report of bollworm and tobacco budworm pheromone trap counts for 2013. While this is the first report posted, some traps have been monitored since late March. So far this year there has been nothing unusual about the catches when compared to previous years. Some trap locations have shifted, so certain counties have been added while others have been dropped. Fewer counties in the northeast and central regions of the state will be reported this year due to a lack of funding for this effort.  Hopefully the counties still being monitored wil provide adequate information to assist in-field consulting and decision making.
