Overall not much change in insect trap counts from last week. Bollworm counts were somewhat higher in the Delta and Central MS regions, tobacco budworm counts were lower in all regions, especially in the Delta were no budworms were caught this week. Southwestern corn borer trap captures remained low in many areas. Areas that had high captures last week are down somewhat this week.  The fields in Leflore County that had captures of ca. 1,000 moths per trap last week had captures of ca. 500 to 600 moths this week.  One field in Panola County had captures of 429 moths per trap and traps near one field in Tallahatchie County had captures that exceeded 200 moths per trap.
