Soybean Scouting Report: 6/22-6/26

Graduate Student Nick Bateman is running a weekly insect scout line in soybeans for part of his PhD project. We will be reporting his numbers weekly on the blog. Only insect pest that are being found in any significance will be reported. This should be used as a general measure of what insect pests are showing up around the state. If a particular pest is not present, it means it was not found in any fields or is in very low numbers the week of sample.

Comments: Bean Leaf Beetles are also showing up in both the delta and hills regions but are spotty and in small numbers.  Small hatch outs of salt marsh caterpillars in the delta region have also been observed.
