2011 MSU Corn Hybrid Demonstration Program Results

The MSU Corn Hybrid Demonstration Program evaluates superior corn hybrids from numerous seed companies who participate the the MSU Corn for Grain Hybrid Trials. MSU Extension Service Agents coordinate locations with grower cooperators in their region, and supervise plots during the season. Our objective is to provide you more opportunity to evaluate premier corn hybrids and substantially supplement the information gathered in the university hybrid trials.

USDA released it’s monthly projections for U.S. and global agricultural supply and use this morning. According to the market reaction the report was most shocking for soybeans. Both crushings and export use are forecast at 1.625 and 1.3 billion bushels

2023 Verona, MS Soybean Variety Trial Frogeye Leaf Spot Evaluation Ratings

During 2023 multiple soybean OVT locations were observed for the presence of disease. The Verona, MS location was observed to have the most consistent frogeye leaf spot data across all of the varieties planted. Observations were made and those are reported in the corresponding data tables.
2023 Soybean Stem Canker Inoculated Variety Trial Evaluations

The cultivars contained in the 2023 Mississippi State University Official Variety Trial (OVT), as well as several additional cultivars, were field-evaluated for their susceptibility/resistance to stem canker. Trials were conducted in Stoneville with toothpick-inoculated plants.
